A Tale of Murder and Betrayal on the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. I had the idea for this photo early in the night while scouting out ElecTRONica for possible photo locations/shots. About 3 hours later we set up for this shot before we left DCA. I had Beth stand where I planned to lay while I framed the shot. Then I had her take the photo. I could have used my gorillapod but I wanted to be quick since there were still a decent amount of people around. I had Beth shoot this twice, moving in a little closer for the 2nd shot, which is the one I ended up using. I edited out the reflections in the glass door as best I could, quick and dirty, so don’t look too closely or you’ll see the edits. The only other major edits I did were to white balance and hues to get the blue light I saw into the photo instead of too much purple. I’m really happy with the shot and now I think I’ll want to do a whole noir style series around the Disneyland Resort with this theme. Something a little different than you usually see at the Happiest Place on Earth.
